Thomas J. Foley, Jr., is a native of Scranton. Mr. Foley has established a reputation as one of the most recognized and respected medical malpractice and personal injury lawyers in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States, with over 40 years of professional experience and multiple settlements and awards of one million dollars or more to his credit. Prior to being admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar in 1961, Mr. Foley attended the University of Scranton (B.S., 1957) and Temple University (L.L.B., 1960). Upon completing his studies at Temple University, he served as Law Clerk to Justice Michael J. Eagen, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, for two years and as Assistant Attorney General for a further year. He was a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 1972 to 1978 and a Trustee for both the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Political Action Committee (1978-2002) and the American Association For Justice Political Action Committee (1999-2002). From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Foley was a member of and Incorporator of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Historical Society and served as a Trustee from 1991-2000. Since 1983, Mr. Foley has participated as an Attorney Invitee in the Third Circuit Judicial Conference.
