Profile

After joining Schiller DuCanto and Fleck LLP in 1995 as a law clerk, Mr. Schulman became an associate in 1997 and was elected partner in 2004.  He graduated from The John Marshall Law School cum laude, where he was a member of and was published in The John Marshall Law Review.  With his experience in the preparation of cases and trials involving large marital estates and child custody issues, Mr. Schulman concentrates in the areas of discovery and litigation.  He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  He is a former Family Law Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and previously served as a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee for the Chicago Bar Association.  He lectures in the area of family law and recently joined the part-time faculty of the College of Lake County teaching classes on Illinois divorce law.  In August, 2006, he was named a "Leading Lawyer" in the practice of Illinois family law by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company.  In 2007, the Law Bulletin Publishing Company named Eric Schulman as one of the "40 Under 40 Attorneys in Illinois to Watch".  Mr. Schulman will be listed in the 2008 edition of Naifeh and Smith's Best Lawyers in America as one of the nation's top divorce lawyers.
